Ozzie’s background includes Chief Operating Officer at a merchandise solutions company where he was retained to lead customer care, sales support, logistics, inventory planning, technology, distribution, accounting, management, and facility management, based on his proven ability and successful experience. He was challenged to reorganize the business, build a team, identify and establish technology processes, and position the company for three-fold growth in the ensuing five years. He implemented quality-driven initiatives across operations within the first three months; slashed costs 20% per unit, improved margins 7% in the first five months, and positioned the company on timeline targets for implementing technology advancements.
Prior positions included Vice President of Logistics at a $580M multi-national manufacturer where he was recruited by the CEO as the first new addition to the corporate executive team to lead them through Chapter 11 restructuring. Challenged to consolidate and integrate logistics, distribution, procurement, demand planning, customer service, and performance measurement for all nine world divisions of the company. They came out of Chapter 11 successfully.
As Senior VP of Supply Chain, Ozzie joined a 94-year-old distributor/manufacturer and coached the company through growth and market challenges requiring supply chain transformation and alignment with the business plan. Positioned as COO at a startup e‑commerce company, he led development of content and community to the niche population worldwide. Ozzie directed and established all operating processes for logistics, supply chain, e-commerce technology, customer service, inventory management, product management, and performance measurements that fixed the course for the company for future e-commerce sites.
Engaged as VP Distribution Services, for a $3.3B organization, the fourth largest retail distributor in the nation, Mr. Ricci managed and directed all aspects of supply chain including transportation, distribution warehousing, and P&L responsibilities. He led significant results within only two years, with $3.9M in profit improvement; decreased global import cost 22% per year while shifting internal disconnected mentality to a collaborative team-driven environment.
Mr. Ricci is a member in good standing of the Council for Supply Chain Management and the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC).
Ozzie is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada where he double majored in Management and Corporate History. He is fluent in three languages: English, French, and Italian. |
